Pain Bands are Real? From the I-had-no-idea department: Check this Post article on "Stun Belts".  If you're anything like me you've watched plenty of crap-ass sci-fi movies with really, really bad guys and their little remote controls.  When they pushed the button (or turned the dial), Kirk and Spock would writhe in pain, heroically.  I guess they never urinated on themselves, like the real thing does. I think these devices are essentially inhumane.  They shouldn't be there.  We are better than this.  On the other hand, I'm not a prison guard trying to control someone unruly. Maybe I shouldn't have anything to say about it.  It's just that it's sort of creepy, you know?  Where, exactly, does the slippery slope start? 12:53:50 PM    comment []
